Thoughts of theeeeeeeee DAY - Thursday, YIPPEE!

15th June 2oo6
Wee... Just finished my study skills mid term test. I did not study hard though, just flipped through the notes and enjoyed my break time, had lunch in cafeteria and accompanied my friend to buy a small bithday present for her boyfriend... (uh, so sweet, though small, it's the thought that counts. remember? the Kant's theory of Deontological ethics???) The test was hard as it triggers my memory (though we got the whole of the brain to store info, i can't figure why we can just occupy 1% of it and the fact that i am just so forgetful?) and thinking skills as i need to constantly reflect what was the lectures about and trying hard recalling some of the facts and theories and points... Well, i am not a student who do reflection after classes, i do not enjoy writing journals which are meant to be read by somebody else in order to get marks that contributes to my final results of the sem, i am not used to applying metacognition during my reflection process either. i just love to have an easy-go-lucky life without much complication in thoughts and action as well..
I just read through some of my collge mates' blogs. man! they're good in everything, ie knowlegeable, intellectual, and they're even good in expressing themselves. i guess i need to read more material, click with them and get some insights from them. i have never encountered with anyone similar to them in my whole school life, ie kindergarden, primary and high school. hence, it can be concluded that people educated from abroad are more exposed to independent learning and the systems really do prepare them for intellectual challenges in the future. Way to go pals!!!
a piece of advice for those who can't get into local universities:-
Get your butt into college where you'll be exposed to different learning environment and different learning style and culture from different kinds of people from different countries. mix around with them as they're really different from the normal students we see in Malaysia... (haha. though i know the practice here is to click with the 'oh!-i-know-you-and-you-are-from-the-same-school-previously friends). ROCK ON!
